Overview
From Raw Data to Executive Strategy
Samsung Health generates terabytes of engagement data across millions of global devices. For Vice Presidents and Product Leaders at HQ, accessing this data is critical for roadmap planning. My role was to transform this raw volume into actionable intelligence. I designed a logic-driven analytics dashboard that allows stakeholders to filter complex user cohorts (e.g., 'Mobile-Only' vs. 'Wearable') without statistical errors.
Technical Constraints
Constraint: The Tableau Environment
The dashboard was built in Tableau, which offers limited flexibility for custom UI compared to React. Standard Tableau filters lacked the visual hierarchy we needed. I had to design a custom 'Global Filter' using Parameter Actions to bypass these limitations.

Deep Dive: Implementing the Global Filter
By replacing standard filters with a custom Global Parameter, we forced mutually exclusive selection—eliminating the double-counting error.
THE SOLUTION
A Single Source of Truth
The new architecture unified 3 disparate reports into one master view. Executive VPs could now toggle between 'Mobile' and 'Wearable' cohorts instantly, trusting that the user counts were accurate. This reduced weekly reporting time from 2 days to 30 seconds.
